During the 2015 Paris Air Show, the battle between the world's two biggest plane makers saw Airbus emerge with $57bn (£36bn) worth of orders and commitments for 421 aircraft, ahead of US competitor Boeing which agreed orders and commitments for 331 planes with a value of just over $50bn (£31.5bn).
Despite meagre predictions for the show from analysts, the total number of aircraft ordered at the Paris Air Show 2015 exceeded expectations with a total of 752 plane orders and commitments, compared to 697 at the Farnborough Air Show last year.
