A fast-growing, family-owned UK electrical engineering company has appointed a new Head of Engineering, to spearhead the development of its brand-new Engineering Department.

St Helens-headquartered Enspec Power welcomed Mourya Ghosh to the position, who boasts 15 years of leadership experience in electrical design, product development and cross-functional innovation.

Enspec majority shareholder and Chief Technical Officer, Tim Rastall, said: “Mourya stood out to us for his exceptional technical acumen and his rare ability to bridge theoretical understanding with practical application.

“His talent for blending insight with real-world engineering solutions makes him the perfect fit for shaping and delivering the next generation of new-to-market technologies. We’re excited to see where his leadership will take us.”

Enspec also has an office in Manchester city centre, Four Hardman Street, Spinningfields and a base in Washington in the north east. Enspec’s clients include large energy generators such as major wind farms, solar farms and hydro plants and major energy consumers including manufacturers, data centres and hospitals. And services provided by the company include power system studies, power quality analysis, renewable energy consultancy and site services.

Having delivered 45% revenue growth to £5.4m in 2024 Enspec expects to almost double its workforce to 60 by the end of this year.

Following his appointment Mourya said: “It’s great to be part of Enspec’s growth story and to be leading the new engineering department into what will undoubtedly be an exciting phase.

“To enhance Enspec’s already competitive edge we are going to be accelerating Enspec’s R&D efforts while also being the driving force behind innovation and the creation of new products.

“There are many complex challenges to overcome when it comes to grid integration, power quality and compliance. But Enspec’s expertise lies in transforming ideas into impact.”
