Company: Smart Manufacturing Week

Smart Manufacturing Week is back at the NEC Birmingham next week, from the 4-5 June. It’s set to deliver two packed days full of ideas, innovation and entertainment.

This is not your standard industry show. Alongside technical content and future-focused insight, you’ll find live music, hands-on features and a real sense of energy throughout the venue. From Innovation Alley and the Smart Tank pitch competition to live music performances, this is where serious business meets serious buzz.

One standout is The Washing Machine Project, appearing on Day Two with a live demonstration of the Divya, the world’s first flat packable manual washing machine. Designed to work entirely off the grid, it cuts water usage by up to 50 percent and slashes the time spent handwashing clothes by 75 percent. Visitors can hear from the team behind the project, watch it in action and try it for themselves in Innovation Alley.

Another unmissable feature is T-1-FNY (Tiffany). Standing eight feet tall and weighing 300 kilograms, this reprogrammed movie robot now performs everyday house chores. If you were impressed by her last year, it’s worth stopping by again. This time, you’ll be able to control aspects of the robot yourself and explore updated object recognition libraries that take her performance to the next level. Catch her in action at stand 5-G64.

The festival atmosphere continues with live music throughout, including a baby grand piano busking spot where visitors can sit down and play. The Shadow Monkeys will also be back with a high-energy set to headline the visitor drinks reception on Day One. For those who know their way around a fretboard, the Guitar Legends competition is your moment to shine. One winner will be crowned each day, each walking away with their own 3D printed guitar and some serious bragging rights.

With just days to go, now is the time to register and be part of it.
