Jaguar Land Rover has revealed their new “Jaguar Virtual Windscreen”. A monitor that projects hazards, speed and navigation on to the windscreen making it easier for drivers to concentrate and less necessary to look away from the road.
They are also researching remote gesture controls, limiting the need to look at or feel for buttons and switches to press, and 3D image instrument cluster, which could end the need for a rear view mirror by using cameras and virtual displays. This could help drivers more accurately judge speed and distance of other vehicles.…
