Orders for manufacturing equipment was up by 65 per cent in June, according to a survey by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) among its members.
The MTA said its biennial machine tools conference MACH, held on June 7-11 at the Birmingham NEC, may have been responsible for some of the growth but said even companies that didn’t exhibit there reported strong figures.
