Rolls-Royce wins $4bn Singapore Airlines order

Rolls-Royce has won a $4bn (£2.6bn) order from Singapore Airlines to power 50 Boeing 787 Dreamliner engines for the airline.

The planes will be supplied by the Derby-based manufacturer’s Trent 1000 engines,  with thirty of the aircraft operated by Singapore Airlines, with an additional 20 for Scoot, an airline subsidiary.
