Rugby laser manufacturer bought by counterpart for £21.3m

SPI lasers, a producer of fiber lasers intended for the manufacturing industry, has successfully acquired small, West Midlands laser counterpart JK Lasers in a multi-million pound deal.

SPI Lasers has completed the acquisition of JK Lasers based in Rugby at a cost of $31.5m (£21.3m). With almost 100 employees and annual sales of €17.6m , JK Lasers is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-power fiber lasers for industrial use.
