From iconic global brands to pioneering SMEs, the 2025 finalists for the manufacturing industry’s largest and most rigorous awards programme are revealed. Spanning the full spectrum of UK manufacturing from automotive, aerospace, and food & drink, to pharmaceuticals, engineering, and advanced materials, the breadth of sectors represented reflects the innovation, skill, and resilience that define modern British industry.
Delivered by The Manufacturer in partnership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), The Manufacturer MX Awards (TMMX Awards) exist to encourage, benchmark, and celebrate manufacturing excellence, with every stage of the programme providing value for participants, regardless of their excellence maturity. The finalists are competing across 11 categories ranging from operational excellence and sustainability, through to supply chain, leadership, and product innovation, with one company being crowned the overall Manufacturer of the Year 2025 at a gala ceremony at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool on 12 November.

The finalists progress through to the second round of the competition, when they will have the chance to impress the independent judging panels during a site visit or in-depth Q&A presentation.
Commenting on this year’s programme, Managing Director of The Manufacturer, Grace Gilling said: “Huge congratulations to the 2025 finalists! Our awards programme is renowned for its rigour, making it a significant accomplishment to be shortlisted. The upcoming second-round judging offers finalists an invaluable opportunity to present their cases directly to our esteemed panels. Best of luck to all participants, and a sincere thank-you to all entrants, our dedicated judges, and our generous sponsors.”
The Manufacturer MX Awards could not be possible without the generous support of headline sponsor SugarCRM and category sponsors: Autodesk, Columbus, and Customs Support Group.

Situated in the heart of Liverpool’s historic docklands, The Manufacturer MX Awards and The Manufacturer Live will take place at the Titanic Hotel.
Last year, Coventry’s Millboard was shortlisted in three different categories. Peter Cameron, Engineering Director, said: “There were three main reasons why we entered the awards – firstly to gain recognition for our team on what they have achieved so far on our journey; secondly to receive feedback on the plans that we have and how they might impact our future development; and finally to help us identify any blind spots that we may have in our process and strategy.
“Being part of TMMX Awards means a lot to Millboard; it is a chance for us to reflect on where we are at present, and to visualise what we need to do in the future. It is also a great opportunity to benchmark against other successful UK manufacturers to see what learnings we can carry forward into our business.

“Programmes like this are important for UK manufacturing to showcase the capabilities and skills that the sector has to offer. It also allows aspiring companies to identify who is doing well and where to look when considering improvements. Overall, the team have found the process useful and rewarding.”
Here at The Manufacturer, we believe it’s more important than ever to encourage, benchmark, and celebrate manufacturing excellence. Every product we use – from the cereal we eat in the morning, to the car we drive, to the engineering innovations that keep our homes warm and our factories running – exists because of the dedication, skill, and creativity of manufacturers. This sector powers our daily lives, drives economic growth, and shapes the future through innovation. The Manufacturer MX Awards are the ideal opportunity to shine a spotlight on the companies and people who make this vital and inspiring sector thrive.
