World’s first robotic selective plating station developed

SIFCO Applied Surface Concepts UK has developed the first collaborative robotic selective plating station for aviation landing gear manufactured by Safran Landing Systems.

Demanding aerospace operating conditions present continual surface finishing challenges for manufacturers. Components need to be able to withstand friction, extreme temperatures and corrosive environments, while continuing to operate at optimum levels.…
