I am deeply passionate about inspiring and motivating others, helping them believe in the impossible and take action, with education at the core of it all. Lifelong learning is the foundation of success, personal confidence and the drive to overcome challenges. A difficult start to life – as an autistic person – taught me to view the world from a different perspective. I had to forge my own path to reach the top of my field. I consider myself fortunate to be involved in projects that aim to inspire the next generation of children to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Take every opportunity life presents you with. Life is a journey of learning.
What is your favourite engineered/manufactured product?
The EJ200 jet engine. Still the world’s most efficient power to weight ratio. It powers the Bloodhound land speed car which I’ve been involved with for the last 12 years and I still work with the engineer who designed it – inspiring more young people to b

If you weren’t in manufacturing what would be your dream job?
What I do now is my dream job. Every day is a chance to inspire a young person who will change all of our lives.
