£10m automotive competition rewards innovation in transport

A £10m funding competition launched today by the Technology Strategy Board aims to help companies gain access to a new technology centre for commercialising low carbon vehicles.

The Building an Automotive Supply Chain of the Future competition rewards innovative approaches to transport technologies with funding. The selection process will decide on collaborative R&D projects that are most likely to result in products and systems that are strong candidates for industrialisation. Government and industry are investing around £1 billion in the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC).…
