Alstom turbines lands contract in China

French turbine manufacturer Alstom has contracted a gas turbine at a Shenzhen Nantian Electric Power Company plant in China.

The 202-megawatt GT13E2 gas turbine is due to enter full commercial operation at the facility in Guangdong province this month. The new unit will provide peaking power in open-cycle mode to supplement the baseload output from the combined-cycle plant.
