BAE Systems technology for UK BMX riders

As part of its eight year research and innovation partnership with UK Sport, BAE Systems has unveiled new technology which is helping Team GB's BMX riders shave off vital seconds from race times to stay ahead of the competition in the upcoming Rio 2016.

The project utilises optical sensor technology originally developed for the ‘sense and avoidance’ system from an unmanned aircraft technology demonstrator.
