The future of the Caterham Cars production facility is currently hanging in the balance as the company awaits a decision from an independent planning inspector as to whether the company's site is to be demolished.
In February, Churchill Retirement Homes applied to demolish the Caterham Cars showroom and depot to build 35 sheltered apartments. In June, Tandridge District Council refused to issue the planning permission but the Sussex-based retirement home company has now appealed the decision.
