New Mercedes-Benz Beijing plant boasts 350,000 car capacity

Automotive manufacturer Daimler AG has the capacity to increase annual production to 350,000 if customer demand requires it, head of manufacturing at Beijing Mercedes-Benz Automotive, Rene Reif, announced on Monday.

Daimler, creator of Mercedes-Benz cars and trucks, Smart cars, and Fuso trucks and buses, is expanding its new Beijing plant before production of its long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz C-Class model.
