Raeon has announced the opening of its new Test and Validation Centre at MIRA Technology Park in Nuneaton.
This expansion significantly enhances Raeon’s capabilities, moving beyond its Oxfordshire headquarters to provide comprehensive battery testing and validation services.
The new facility will be equipped for a wide range of battery testing processes, including temperature cycling, high power testing, thermal shock, high altitude low pressure, charge and discharge cycling, humidity testing, and active cooling characterisation.
This investment underscores Raeon’s commitment to delivering high-performance, custom-optimised batteries for diverse applications across automotive, defence, marine, motorsport, warehousing, robotics, eVTOL, drones, and off-highway sectors.
Raeon’s unique approach addresses the significant challenges faced by businesses in niche markets, where the cost and lead time for custom battery development have historically been prohibitive. The company’s innovative manufacturing process, which includes the use of resin encapsulation and dual-layer bus bar technology, enables rapid scaling of designs and production of various shapes and sizes from a single production line.
This flexibility is vital for the electrification of “everything else” beyond mass-produced electric cars, contributing to a greener future.
