Siemens win £1.2b wind turbine project in Netherlands

German power equipment manufacturer Siemens will supply 150 turbines for the Gemini offshore wind power project in the North Sea, Netherlands.

The firm will provide turbines with a capacity of 4MW and a rotor diameter of 130m to the 600MW  £2.4b scheme. The contract also includes a provision service and maintenance for 15 years.
