Tell us a bit about yourself. This can include telling us what fires you up about the job you do, your professional achievements, your career highlights. What inspires you? What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
I am passionate about creating tangible products, seeing a concept evolve into something functional, and being involved in the full manufacturing lifecycle through to final factory acceptance testing. Throughout my career, I have contributed to projects focused on improving efficiencies, reducing waste and refining designs to suit manufacturing.

I have also supported initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and product quality. Working closely with clients to understand the intended functionality motivates me to deliver the highest quality outcomes while overcoming manufacturing challenges. Being part of a highly skilled, passionate delivery team for a safety-critical market drives me to pursue innovation and excellence. I am proud to contribute to an industry – and a team – that plays such a vital role in shaping the future.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
I would tell my younger self to have confidence in your abilities and to trust that challenges are opportunities for growth, not setbacks. Be open to all challenges and don’t underestimate your own abilities due to your age, perseverance will take you further than you think! Be curious, ask questions and never be afraid to seek advice from experienced colleagues.

What is your favourite engineered/manufactured product?

If you weren’t in manufacturing what would be your dream job?
