What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
I’m passionate about making a difference – building a sustainable business with purpose and culture at its core at CBE+. My journey into manufacturing began with my dad, who crafted beautiful wrought iron. While I’m not technical myself, I’ve always been fascinated by how things are made. I used my strengths in finance to enter the sector and have been inspired by its real-world impact ever since.
After a successful MBO and business sale, I saw an opportunity to unite complementary manufacturing companies – forming CBE+. One of my proudest achievements is transforming five businesses into one forward-thinking, integrated company focused on operational excellence, sustainability and innovation. I’m driven by people, purpose and progress, and I’m committed to championing UK manufacturing as a dynamic, rewarding and future-focused industry.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t be afraid to take opportunities – you never know where they might lead. Failure is never truly failure, it’s just a chance to take a different path on your journey.
What is your favourite engineered/manufactured product?
Chocolate.

I have my PSV licence and I used to be a bus driver.
