Tell us a bit about yourself. This can include telling us what fires you up about the job you do, your professional achievements, your career highlights. What inspires you? What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
With over two decades in manufacturing leadership, I’m driven by the opportunity to build great teams and drive meaningful change in our industry. I take pride in seeing people grow and progress in our sector, especially supporting apprentices becoming engineers in their career journey. Leading Dyer Engineering through a successful MBO and turning a £1.2m loss into a £2.2m profit are key milestones and I’m equally motivated by the role we play in our community and wider region.

Manufacturing appealed to me because I love seeing things being made. I always marvel at human ingenuity in designing optimal manufacturing processes in conjunction with technology. UK manufacturing has an incredible future and I’m passionate about championing that through skills development and sector collaboration to help build a stronger, more resilient industry.
