What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
I have worked in the manufacturing sector since the age of 16, starting out as an apprentice machine setter. In the 27 years I have worked for UK Greetings I have had many varied roles, most recently Manufacturing and Distribution Director which I have held for the past ten years. During this time I have been a passionate driving force within the company to promote the return to UK manufacturing from Asia. In the last few years we have successfully achieved this, investing capital and creating exciting new opportunities for local people. Now we are driven to grow and deliver the best of British in our industry while leaving a long-lasting legacy.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Be patient and never give up.
What is your favourite engineered/manufactured product?
The simple greetings card.

I used to work on the family farm in Hungary.

Cutting grass for the council.
