Tell us a bit about yourself. This can include telling us what fires you up about the job you do, your professional achievements, your career highlights. What inspires you? What attracted you to pursue a career in manufacturing? Is there anything else you’d like to say about either your job or UK manufacturing?
I started my career in manufacturing in 2012 as a graduate engineer at BAE Systems and I have stayed ever since. I’ve had some really excellent opportunities to work on new an innovative products for the underwater domain with some great people which is why I enjoy working in the sector so much. I find seeing a product through from concept to delivery especially rewarding. Delivering the Herne XLAUV demonstrator as Engineering Manager in November 2024 has been a real career highlight in a project that brought all the best aspects of working in the sector together.

I’ve always considered being a pilot for a living.
